- Then type or copy the paste the following command in the Registry Editor address bar,
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
- Now expand the option Explorer from the left side of the screen and click on the ScreenshotIndex file from the right side files list.
- If you failed to find the same file, then right-click over the white space and select New-> DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- Then rename the file as ScreenshotIndex.
- Thereafter open the ScreenshotIndex file and click on the radio button beside Decimal under the Base section, and set the Value data as 695.
- Once done, again type or copy then paste the following address in the Registry Editor address bar,
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
- This time go to the right side of the screen and select and double click on {B7BEDE81-DF94-4682-A7D8-57A52620B86F} file.
- Here also you failed to find the same file right-click on White space and select New-> Expandable String Value and rename it as {B7BEDE81-DF94-4682-A7D8-57A52620B86F}
- Now open the file by double-click on it, and in the Value data field, type the following location,
%USERPROFILE%\Pictures\Screenshots
- And then, click on the OK button to continue and save all the changes.
- Once done, restart the system and check now the screenshot folder is available or not.
Steps to Change the Windows 11 Default Screenshot Folder location:
Normally by default, the captured screenshots are saved to C:\Users\UserName\Pictures\Screenshots location. If you need to change this location in your Windows 11, then you can follow the below-given steps,
- Firstly, you need to create a New folder (name it as Screenshot) anywhere in your system to save new screenshots.
- Then move to the following default Screenshot location,
C:\Users\UserName\Pictures\Screenshots
- Now, right-click over the Screenshot folder and select its Properties.
- Inside the Screenshot Properties window, select the Location tab from the top menu and click on the Move button.
- There select the newly created Screenshot folder and click on the Select folder tab.
- Then click on the OK button to continue. Hereafter all the screenshots using Windows + PrtSc key will get saved on this newly created folder.
