Overall, the redesigned Photos app aligns with the new operating system.

Additional Features:

The biggest additional feature added in the new Photos app is the “filmstip”, which is placed at the bottom of the screen. Windows 11 users can see small thumbnails of all pictures of a specific folder or album using this feature as well as users can jump into the needed photos directly within the viewer. Comparing to Windows 10, the new Photos app is affixed with advanced UI. Windows 11 users can disable the editing Toolbar from the top of the screen and filmstrip feature as per their convenience by click on the screen. To enable the same feature, you simply need to click again on the same screen.

When it comes to the updated Photos app Toolbar, it is designed with an additional tool to edit your photos. You are allowed to crop, touch-up, rotate, heart your favourites, view metadata of any photos. Additionally, users can draw on the selected pictures using the mouse or a pen (an external supported device).

The exceptional feature of the new Photos app on Windows 11 is it allows users to get quick access to third-party photo editing apps. If you need to edit your pictures as you wish, now you can launch the Picsart, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Corel PaintShop Pro and Affinity Photo just in a single click from the Photos app.

Anyway, the new Photos app is still in Beta, and it will be available in Windows 11 shortly.
