How to Fix “YouTube Keeps Pausing” Issue

Today YouTube has become one of the best sources of information and entertainment for users. A lot of users flock to YouTube everyday to watch, share and upload videos, but it can be a hassle when YouTube videos keep pauses.

The same issue can be caused by different reasons; poor internet connection or it can be the result of a problem with the YouTube app itself. Fix 1: Check Internet Connection

An unstable or unreliable network connection can cause YouTube videos to pause. In this case you need to check whether your internet connection is working properly or not.

Fix 2: Close Unwanted Apps

Sometimes unnecessary apps running in the background of your system consume too much RAM and cause YouTube videos to pause. In this case, you should go to the Task Manager and end the unnecessary apps or services from the list. Once done, launch YouTube again and see if the problem persists.

Fix 3: Disable Browser Add-ons

  • Then choose Settings-> General option and Toggle Off beside Remind Me to Take a Break feature.

Fix 6: Clear Cache

If cache files are mounted in your YouTube app, it may cause the video to lag or pause. You can clear the cache files and replay the videos to get rid of the same problem. To do so, 

  • Open Settings menu in your device-> Apps & Notifications-> YouTube.
  • Then click on Storage & cache and click on Clear Cache button, and relauch YouTube to see the result.
