Fix: Memory Error 0-1766 on COD Warzone on Windows 10/11

Call of Duty: Warzone is a popular free-to-play battle royale multiplayer video game published by Activision on March 10, 2020. Fix 1: Disable Background Running Apps and Games:

As a first resort to escape from the Memory Error 0-1766 on COD Warzone, you can close all the games and apps running in the background. To disable unnecessary games and apps, follow these steps, 

On Xbox:

  • Firstly, press the Xbox button, now the main sidebar appears before you.
  • From the list, select unnecessary games and apps and select the Menu button (the three-line button).
  • Then select the Quit tab to close the background running apps and games.

On Computer:

  • Firstly, right-click over the Start button and select Task Manager from the context list.
  • Then select the Processes tab from the top vertical menu and select the program/processes consuming too much CPU or memory resources. 
  • Once you find one, right-click over the program and click on End task.

Fix 2: Restore the Licenses:

  • Firstly, launch the PlayStation profile and select Settings.
  • Then go to the Account Management menu and select the Restore Licenses option. And let give some time to restore your licenses.

Fix 3: Adjust Display Settings:

Some users resolved the Memory Error 0-1766 by adjusting the Display settings. You need to turn off 4K, disable the HDR feature, lower down the Resolution to 1080p. To change all these settings, you can follow these steps,

  • Then select Display & Sound from the left pane menu and select Video output.
  • Now adjust the Resolution to 1080p, under the Display section.

  • Firstly, press the Xbox button and select Settings.
  • Then go to Network Settings->Advanced Settings->Alternate Mac Address.
