How to Install Global Stable ROM on Xiaomi Redmi 7 (onclite)

There are two methods to install the firmware on your device. The first method is to install the recovery ROM and the second method to install the fastboot ROM via Mi Flash Tool.

Install Recovery ROM:

  1. Local Update method:
    1. First, download the recovery ROM zip file V11.0.2.0.QFLMIXM and transfer it to your phone
    2. Make sure to place the file (V11.0.2.0.QFLMIXM) in the “downloaded_rom” folder in your internal storage. Create one in your internal storage base directory if there is no such folder.
    3. Now Go to Settings - About Phone - System Update and then press the three-dot icon in the top-right corner.
    4. Select Choose Update Package and select the downloaded zip file V11.0.2.0.QFLMIXM
    5. Wait for the update to install.
  2. Recovery method:
    1. To flash via recovery method, first, you need to rename the downloaded .zip file to update.zip.
    2. Transfer the file to the base directory of your Redmi 7’s internal storage.
    3. Reboot your Redmi 7 into recovery mode.
    4. Use the Volume key to navigate and select the Install update.zip. To enter, press the power button.
    5. Wait for the update to install.
    6. Your device will now reboot after the installation is completed. If not, you can choose the Reboot option.

Install Fastboot ROM:

  1. Download the Mi Flash Tool and ADB and Fastboot Tool.
  2. Reboot your Redmi 7 into download mode
  3. Connect your phone to the computer using the USB Cable.
  4. Extract the downloaded V11.0.2.0.QFLMIXM fastboot ROM.tgz file and copy the location of it where you extracted.
  5. Open the Mi Flash tool and paste the location of the ROM you extracted.
  6. Click Run to start the flashing process.
  7. Once the installation process completes, you will see a green bar that indicates success. Your device will reboot automatically to the new version V11.0.2.0.QFLMIXM.
