As we know, Android has a huge community and developer base to develop its custom ROM. A custom ROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the latest Android Open Source Project (AOSP) code. As soon as Google drops the new source code of their new version of the AOSP, the modding community starts their work towards bringing the new version of Android to more and more devices in the form of custom ROMs. Many users are looking forward to installing the vanilla Android experience OS instead of waiting for the official stock firmware from OEM.
Advantages of Custom ROM:
The main reason why people love custom ROM is that the OEM (smartphone manufacturer) support their new device for 2-3 years, and later they drop it. On the other hand, A custom ROM helps keep your device alive and updated with the latest version of Android. The custom ROM brings new features to the devices and brings a vanilla experience instead of bloatware from OEM.
